The human relationship with animals is characterized by a strong and mutual relationship that carries within it the human need for the animal more than the animal’s need for the human through the use of animals in strenuous work that exceeds the physical strength of the human, in addition to his dependence on them as a source of food and an essential supply of their meat and products. With human civilization, this relationship became deeper, increasing human knowledge of the facts and dimensions of life. Therefore, a healthy and effective society is one whose members have high health competence and the ability to create, produce and innovate in all fields. In order for society to enjoy these qualities, it is in dire need of healthy food free of pathogens that directly and indirectly affect human energy and production. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Agricultural mushroom production Prepared by: Dr. Mohamed Riad Diop.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The importance of the yolk sac in chicks. Dr. Saad Al-Jijkalbi.
The importance of the yolk sac: The yolk sac enters the abdominal cavity during the last days of incubation, and in newly hatched chicks it constitutes (15-20%) of its live body weight, then decreasing to approximately 1 g on the fourth day of hatching. In the meantime, the chicks can benefit from the contents of the yolk sac. As food. Yolk is utilized in chicks in two ways simultaneously. The first method is by transferring its components directly into the blood circulation, and the second is by transferring it through the yolk sac channel to the small intestine, which remains open upon hatching and then narrows with age due to the accumulation of lymphocytes that block this channel within 48 hours. Mostly completely within 72 hours, after which the yolk sac duct turns into lymphatic tissue. Upon hatching, the yolk is composed of 50% water, 25% protein, and 25% fat. It therefore provides the newly hatched chicks with fats and proteins before they switch to eating feed rich in sugars and protein.
