Fish nutrition... nutritional needs and problems, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mufid Sobh.
Fish use the nutrients they eat to provide their bodies with the materials needed to sustain life, such as supplying the body with the energy needed for its activities through metabolism. These materials are used either to produce energy through the process of catabolism or to build body tissues through the process of anabolism. Accordingly, foodstuffs are classified as follows: Energy-rich foods: fats and sugars. Protein-rich foods: animal and plant proteins used for growth. Supplements: The body needs them in small quantities, but they are very necessary for vital processes in the body, such as vitamins and mineral salts. There is no doubt that the cost of feeding is the largest in the cost of fish production, and it occupies the most important farms to obtain a good return on this investment, represented by an increase in the production efficiency of fish. Food conversion factor. The extent of food use by fish is affected by several factors, the most important of which are: Environment - presence of disease - age - genetic structure - types of fish used - composition of food and its suitability to the nutritional needs of fish. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Diagnosing pregnancy in cows using ultrasound (echograph), Dr. Muhammad Zuhair Al-Ahmad.
Ultrasound imaging (echography) is one of the medical imaging techniques that can be used routinely and continuously on farms. The diagnosis is carried out according to the conditions of housing the animals. For animals that are fixed in their pens and are difficult to move, the echo device can be moved from one place to another. It is also possible to work with the fixed device method in which the fixed device is installed in which the device is installed and then the animals are passed sequentially in Installation corridor. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tuberculosis is a common disease between humans and animals Prof. Radwan Hagour.
A chronic infection affecting humans and many animals caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis or Mycobacterium bovis, and in some African cases, M. africanum (mostly in Africa). These mycobacteria are transmitted to and from humans, with varying degrees of attachment to their hosts. M. avium (the tuberculosis agent of birds and poultry) causes clinical infections in humans and domestic animals only in rare cases. It appears that human infections with avian mycobacteria occur in the absence of skin contact with birds and poultry and in the presence of predisposing diseases such as acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), silicosis, and aspergillosis. Therefore, human infections with these mutants are not considered infections of zoonotic origin. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ornamental birds Prepared by Dr. Anas Al-Rashed.
The multiplicity of bird species, ranging from the tiny hummingbird to the huge hornbill and ostrich, means that their anatomy, digestive systems, and reproductive methods are vastly different from the bird species that inhabit dense forests, open savannahs, semi-deserts, and the Arctic and Antarctic regions, which require diverse breeding methods. The anatomical structure of birds depends on the fact that flight is mainly for feeding and/or escaping from raptors and enemies, and it is distinguished by the type of food that is eaten (for example: strong beaks for breaking nuts, strong sharp beaks for tearing meat, small strong beaks for eating seeds and different types of... beaks for eating insects and fruits)
